Family and Education Business Experience Licenses Professional Experience
Lansing resident since the early 80's, married to Denise and have 4 children in the Holt schools. Attended Catholic schools 12 years, BA from MSU in Business Education, further Masters in Education U of M, as well as College for Financial Planning in Denver. Worked in both private and public education high school, adult, and college levels as a contractor and employee. Teaching in the area of Business, Investments, Real Estate, Insurance, Marketing, and Management.
Owned and operated businesses: C Stores, Restaurants, Retail and Sporting Goods, as well as in the Financial Planning areas counseling businesses and individuals in budget control as well as future planning for retirement and education. Licensed in Real Estate, Insurance, Securities and hold designations of CFP and GRI
Professional and Work: Worked from age 10 in family restaurant as well as fast food for one owner over 7 years in which I developed a training program by age 20 for efficiency and cost controls. Worked thru college with 4 jobs and paying my own way as I did for all future professional licenses and training. Public school job placement coordinator over 7 years and later went into businesses noted above. Began investing in real estate after college, started a local landlord association and acted as President for 2 years and Vice President of the State Association as well as Board member of a local credit union and also a condo association. Owned and operated 4 C Stores and one restaurant. Later years did active consulting to clients with trips to the Persian Gulf in Dubai well before it became the world power it is today. During this time I also traded at the Board of Trade in Chicago and was known as a metal coin "bag syndicator".
Most recent years invests and consults in various areas of finance including securities, insurance, and real estate as well as teaching at LCC similar courses as well as professionals and newcomers to the field. I then started and now spouse operates an income tax preparation service. Have designed and taught education sessions all over Michigan such as Estate Planning, Law, Medicare Planning, Insurance, and Real Estate. During this time I've presented over 350 private and public groups such as Michigan Bankers Association, Superintendents Roundtable, and future GM Union Retirees locally and at Chrysler Corporation.
